ZoodleBug Terms of Service
Last updated: October 13, 2026
1. Who we are
ZoodleBug.com (“ZoodleBug,” “we,” “us”) is operated by Tim Bedley, an educator. These Terms apply to zoodlebug.com and the ZoodleBug games, learning tools, accounts, educator tools, and paid plans. By using ZoodleBug you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you use ZoodleBug for a school or district, a signed agreement with that school or district comes first where it says something different.
2. Accounts
Educator and parent accounts
Teachers, other educators, and parents or homeschool families may create an adult account with an email address. You must be an adult to create one. Some tools (for example, creating student accounts and classes) require you to complete ZoodleBug’s educator verification first. Please give true information, keep your password private, and tell us if you think someone else has used your account. You are responsible for what happens under your account.

3. Using ZoodleBug the right way
ZoodleBug is for learning and fun. When you use it, please:
- Be kind. No bullying, threats, hateful or unkind names, or messages that aren’t right for a classroom.
- Keep everything you create or type (names, Cuatro puzzles, messages, feedback) appropriate for K-8 students.
- Don’t cheat or try to get around the game rules, scores, rewards, limits, or paid features.
- Don’t try to break, overload, copy, or get into parts of ZoodleBug or other people’s accounts you aren’t allowed to use.
- Don’t share other people’s personal information, and don’t put a student’s full name, address, phone number, or photo where it doesn’t belong.
- Don’t use ZoodleBug to advertise, sell, or collect information from students.
- Follow your school’s rules and the law.
We may remove content, pause features, or limit an account that breaks these rules or puts students at risk.
4. Things you create or send
Some parts of ZoodleBug let you create or send things: Cuatro puzzles and images (educators), class messages to students, Pebble notes, feedback and screenshots, and support or privacy requests. You keep any rights you have in what you create. You give ZoodleBug permission to store, show, copy, and process it as needed to run the service, and, when you choose to publish something to the ZoodleBug community (for example, a Cuatro puzzle), to show it to other ZoodleBug users. Only post things you have the right to share. We may review, edit for safety, or remove content that breaks these Terms.
If you send us an idea or suggestion (for example, through the Feedback button), we may use it to improve ZoodleBug without owing you anything.
5. ZoodleBug Pro and ZoodleBug Max
Every game stays free for kids. Adult accounts can choose a paid plan with extra classroom tools. The current plans, features, and prices are shown on the ZoodleBug Upgrades page:
- ZoodleBug Pro: $4.99 a month or $39 a year.
- ZoodleBug Max: coming soon; planned at $9.99 a month or $79 a year. These Terms will apply to Max when it opens.
Free trial
The 14-day free trial is for new members (one trial per account). Cancel any time before the trial ends and you won’t be charged anything. We’ll email you a reminder before your trial ends.
Automatic renewal
After the trial, your plan renews automatically each month (or each year) at the price shown when you subscribed, and your payment method is charged at the start of each period, until you cancel. You’ll get an email receipt for every payment. Applicable taxes may be added at checkout. If we ever change a price, we will tell you before the new price applies to your next renewal.
Cancel anytime
You can cancel, switch between monthly and yearly, or update your card any time from “Manage my subscription” on the Upgrades page. If you cancel during your trial, you pay nothing. If you cancel later, your plan stays on until the end of the period you already paid for and then stops; it does not renew again.
Refunds: 30-day money-back guarantee
If ZoodleBug Pro isn’t right for you, cancel within 30 days of your first payment and contact us for a full refund. No questions asked. Apart from this guarantee (and where the law requires otherwise), payments are not refunded for the unused part of a period; your plan simply runs until the period ends.
Payments by Stripe
Payments are handled securely by Stripe and show on card statements as TIM BEDLEY ZOODLEBUG. Your card details go to Stripe, not to ZoodleBug, and Stripe’s own terms and privacy policy apply to the payment. If a renewal payment fails, Stripe may try again; paid features stop if the payment can’t be completed.
Schools and gifts
Schools that want Pro for many teachers can contact us for a quote. ZoodleBug may also give Pro or Max to some educators for free for a stated time; when that time ends, the account goes back to the free plan unless you subscribe.
6. Changes to ZoodleBug
We are always improving ZoodleBug, so games, features, and plans may be added, changed, or retired. We try hard to keep ZoodleBug running, but it may sometimes be unavailable for updates, repairs, or reasons outside our control. If we stop offering a paid plan you are subscribed to, we will stop future charges and refund any prepaid time you have not used.
7. Ending an account
You may stop using ZoodleBug at any time. Adult account holders can cancel a paid plan from the Upgrades page, and can ask us to delete their account through the privacy request form. Educators can delete student accounts they manage. We may suspend or close an account that seriously or repeatedly breaks these Terms, misuses ZoodleBug, or puts students at risk. If we close a paid account without a good reason under these Terms, we will refund the unused part of your current period. Information is kept and deleted as described in the Privacy Policy.
8. ZoodleBug’s content
The ZoodleBug games, artwork, music (including ZoodleTunes), names, and logos belong to Tim Bedley / ZoodleBug. You may use them for learning, in class, and at home as the site allows (for example, printables and songs your plan lets you download). Please don’t copy, sell, or redistribute them beyond that without permission.
9. Disclaimers
ZoodleBug is offered “as is” and “as available.” We work to make the games accurate, safe, and helpful, but we can’t promise that ZoodleBug will always be error-free, uninterrupted, or right for every learner. ZoodleBug is a learning tool; it does not replace a teacher’s or parent’s judgment. Links to other websites (for example, ChatGPT from Cuatro) go to services we don’t control, under their own terms.
10. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent the law allows, ZoodleBug and Tim Bedley are not responsible for indirect, incidental, or consequential losses (such as lost data, lost time, or lost profits) from using or not being able to use ZoodleBug. If we are responsible for a loss, our total responsibility is limited to the amount you paid ZoodleBug in the 12 months before the problem happened (or $50 if you haven’t paid anything). Some places don’t allow these limits, so they may not all apply to you. Nothing here limits rights you have that the law says cannot be limited.
11. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules. If a disagreement comes up, please contact us first; most problems can be solved quickly and in a friendly way. Any dispute that can’t be resolved informally will be handled in the state or federal courts located in California, unless a school or district agreement says otherwise.
12. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. When we do, we’ll post the new version here with a new date. If a change is important, we’ll give notice on the site or by email before it takes effect. Continuing to use ZoodleBug after a change means you accept the updated Terms.

These Terms are written in plain language so teachers, parents, and students can understand them. A school or district agreement may add different or stricter terms for that school’s use; where it does, that agreement controls.
